Here is the handball national team's happy message: Sofia Hvenfelt is back after her knee injury, and joins the squad ahead of next week's double match against Spain.
"It has gone faster than the prognosis and what we had to relate to when the squad was selected, but since we only selected two centre-backs, we can now add Sofia", says national team coach Tomas Axnér in a press release.
Hvenfelt's Olympic Games in Paris ended already in the premiere against Norway, when she was forced to leave with a knee injury that subsequently stopped her from playing in the rest of the tournament.
Ålborg's left-back Clara Lerby also joins the squad. She replaces Linn Hansson who has fallen ill.
Sweden meets Spain in Eskilstuna on Thursday and in Gävle on Saturday.
