A doctor in the UK admits to attempted murder of his mother's partner – with a dose of fake Covid-19 vaccine.
The 53-year-old doctor, now on trial in Newcastle, wore full protective gear in January and went to his mother's partner's home, pretending to give the 72-year-old victim a booster dose of vaccine.
According to the indictment, the syringe was instead likely filled with some type of pesticide. As a result of the injection, the victim developed necrotizing fasciitis, a rare flesh-eating disease, and was forced to amputate parts of his arm.
According to the prosecutor, the motive was economic, as the doctor assumed that the 72-year-old stood between him and a potential inheritance from his mother.
