A boy under 18 years old was arrested on Monday evening in Sollentuna after attempting to enter a gym with a weapon-like object. The boy is now detained.
The person ran a lap and then ran away from there, says Rebecca Landberg, press spokesperson for the police in Stockholm.
No one was injured, but several witnesses called the police and the boy could be arrested. He is now suspected of serious weapons offences and preparation for murder.
Another person, a man older than 18 years old, is detained suspected of aiding and abetting attempted murder, the police write on their website.
The police cannot yet say whether the intended target was at the gym and neither whether there are links to gang crime.
It is not clear yet, we do not have the whole picture, says Rebecca Landberg.
Nor can prosecutor Ida Jonasson comment on the case.
