Three handwritten documents containing information about Israeli hostages and instructions on how to handle them have been published on the Palestinian news site al-Quds. The documents are said to have been written by the deceased Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
The first document – written on notebook paper – states that the lives of hostages are to be used as a means of pressure, and also contains Koran verses. The second document contains information about the number of Israeli hostages, their ages, whether they are civilians or soldiers, men or women.
In a third document, there are names of eleven hostages, mainly elderly women. Most of them were released last November.
The news of Yahya Sinwar's death in an Israeli attack in Gaza came last week.
