The Prosecutor Denies Crime: "Very Sad"

I think you're mixing my moral with a close relative who has chosen a completely different path. Putting it on me makes me very sad, says the woman in Södertörn's district court.

The cousin Ismail Abdo has been described as one of the driving forces behind the bloody conflict within the Foxtrot network, which broke out last year. When the conflict escalated, the Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the prosecutor's work, but found that she had not investigated anything that could be linked to the gang leader.

However, information was found on her phone that led to the indictment for two cases of breach of confidentiality.

Murder in Tumba

One of the cases concerns the investigation of a murder in Tumba in 2022. The case was the woman's first murder as a preliminary investigation leader, which she was happy about and told a sibling in a chat. At the same time, they lamented the violence in society.

In the chat, she provided information about who had been murdered, how the victim had been shot, and other information that was confidential at the time, according to prosecutor Lars Morand.

The woman admits to having written the messages, but denies that the information was confidential. According to her, she got it from other sources, such as Flashback and social media, before she took part in the investigation material.

My thought then is that I'm not writing anything that comes from the investigation, but it's information that's already out.

The second case concerns a photo she sent to a sibling showing that a person was detained. The person shared a first name with Ismail Abdo, and she then jokingly wrote that her cousin was arrested.

"Spontaneous"

In this case as well, she admits to the sequence of events, but denies any wrongdoing. She emphasizes that it's not possible to identify the man solely based on the name.

It was a very spontaneous action, and in the background, there's probably a frustration that I would have loved to see him arrested.

The prosecutor is seeking a sentence of day fines. Her defense attorney Johan Eriksson believes she should be acquitted entirely.

As the trial concluded, Judge Kian Moazzez Amraée turned directly to the defendant:

No one here blames you for your cousin, it's not something that's taken into account in this courtroom.

The verdict in the case will be announced on November 15.

The Foxtrot network, led by Rawa Majid from Uppsala, engaged in extensive drug smuggling to Sweden over several years. The network has allied itself with several criminal networks in Sweden, which have assisted Foxtrot in committing serious violent crimes.

Between 2021 and 2023, the network was involved in at least four separate conflicts with other gangs, including the Dalen network in southern Stockholm.

In the summer of 2023, an internal split occurred within the network, resulting in a bloody conflict between prominent figures in Foxtrot. Among other things, the mother of one of the leaders, Ismail Abdo, was murdered in her home outside Uppsala.

Another leading figure in the conflict was shot dead in Baghdad, Iraq's capital, in early 2024 by a Swedish hitman, according to suspicions.
