Reports of the new Iranian drones against Israel came late on Saturday evening. Israel's military urged residents to follow the authorities' instructions and reminded that the air defense is not "hermetic".

Just before 11 pm, the message came that Israel's residents no longer need to seek shelter.

Iran claims to have fired 100 drones, and that Haifa and Tel Aviv were the main targets, according to BBC.

Housing hit

Housing in Israel has been hit by Iranian drones.

"Several incidents have been reported to the rescue service's command centers in the coastal and northern districts, with hits in residential buildings and a fire in an open area”, says a spokesperson for the Israeli rescue service in a statement.

Israel states at the same time that its air force is attacking targets in Tehran and Yemen.

Iran's oil department says that Israeli raids have struck two fuel depots - one in Shahran northwest of Tehran and one just south of the capital.

AFP's reporter says that the Shahran depot is on fire.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier on Saturday that Israel has caused "significant damage" to Iran's nuclear energy facilities and that they will attack "every target" linked to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's regime.

State-controlled media in Iran report that an oil field in western Iran has been attacked with drones. The attack on the oil field in the Persian Gulf, known as South Pars, has not been confirmed by independent sources - if the report is true, it would be the first time Israel has attacked Iran's oil and gas fields during the ongoing conflict.

Israel claims, in turn, that its air force controls western Iran up to Tehran.

Violent night

The latest Israeli attacks on targets in Iran followed a continued violent night and Saturday morning, with dawn attacks on the Iranian capital Tehran and attacks on the city of Tabriz in northwestern Iran.

Iran's response has come in several waves since Israel's initial attacks during the night to Friday, when 200 fighter jets attacked mainly nuclear energy facilities and other military targets.

An Iranian drone rain was fired early on Saturday morning. At least three Israelis have been killed in the Tel Aviv area, according to Israeli media. Iran confirms that members of the Revolutionary Guard and a police chief have been killed in Israeli attacks.

Britain is moving forces to the Middle East, including military aircraft, due to the violence, according to Prime Minister Keir Starmer, whose Foreign Minister David Lammy is said to have been in contact with Iran.

Our constant message is de-escalation, and therefore everything we do, all the discussions we have, is about de-escalation, says Starmer.

Starmer further says that he does not rule out defending Israel against Iranian attacks, despite Iranian threats of retaliation against British bases if London decides to support Israel, according to The Guardian.

Corrected: In an earlier version of the text, there was an incorrect description of who had fired the drones.

Israel says it has attacked more than 200 targets in Iran during Friday. Nuclear energy facilities were attacked, as well as targets where high-ranking Iranian military personnel were located.

Dozens of top Iranian military personnel are reported to have been killed, including Iran's defense chief and the leader of the powerful Revolutionary Guard, as well as high-ranking nuclear physicists.
