The terrorist-stamped organization Hamas has signed an agreement with other Palestinian groups, including the rival Fatah, during a meeting in China, reports Hamas leader Musa Abu Marzuk.
"Today, we are signing an agreement on national unity," announces Musa Abu Marzuk.
China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi hosted the representatives of the Palestinian groups. According to him, the parties have agreed to establish a temporary government after the war.
The most prominent highlight is the agreement to form an interim national reconciliation government around the governance of post-war Gaza, he says after signing the "Beijing Declaration".
Israel criticizes the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who belongs to Fatah.
"Instead of rejecting terrorism, Mahmoud Abbas is embracing Hamas' murderers and rapists and revealing his true face," writes Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz on X.
Fatah and Hamas have been at odds with each other since the terrorist-stamped Hamas ousted Fatah from the Gaza Strip following deadly clashes that followed Hamas' election victory in 2006.
