A 17-year-old girl won a car in Bingolotto's jackpot evening on TV4 in 2023. Now, Folkspel is being fined half a million kronor, reports Aftonbladet, citing Nyhetsbyrån Siren.
It was in the program's segment "Färgfemman" that the 17-year-old called in and won the car.
According to the Gaming Act, you must have turned 18 to participate in licensed gaming.
Folkspel, which is part of Bingolotto, has now received a warning and a fine of 500,000 kronor from the Gaming Inspectorate.
Aftonbladet writes that at the time, there were no routines in place to check the age of the people who called in to the program. After the incident, Folkspel has introduced routines to ensure that those who call in are at least 18 years old.
Corrected: An earlier version contained an incorrect statement about who was being fined.
