A 15-year-old boy is being prosecuted for murder and attempted murder after a shooting outside a nightclub in Gävle on July 28 last year. Two men were injured in the shooting, one of whom, a 23-year-old man, died from his injuries.
The murder is linked to a conflict between criminal networks, where the 23-year-old has been identified by the police as a leading figure in one of the networks.
The boy being prosecuted for the murder had no personal connection to any of the individuals, but is believed to have carried out the shooting on behalf of another group.
Exactly how the planning took place and exactly who gave the order or when, the investigation has not been able to show, says prosecutor Fredrik Normark.
In addition to the 15-year-old being sentenced for murder and attempted murder, the prosecutor is also seeking the boy's deportation to Afghanistan. The boy, who was placed in a foster home at the time of the incident, denies any wrongdoing.
A 30-year-old man is also being prosecuted for aiding and abetting the shooting.
