It's about drugs that have been smuggled from Western Sweden to Finland via Haparanda.
In the seizure, we have approximately 250 kilos of amphetamine, a dozen kilos of cocaine, a score of kilos of ecstasy, a hundred kilos of cannabis, a number of weapons and three bombs, says Magnus Dahl, head of investigations in Police Region West to the radio.
According to the police, the operation is controlled by Swedish gang criminals abroad, while the detainees – most of whom are suspected of serious drug offenses – are the perpetrators.
We currently have eight detainees in Finland and seven in Sweden, but we expect an additional Swedish detention shortly, says Magnus Dahl to TT.
It's a constellation that has worked across both Finland and Sweden, so we have made interventions in both countries.
