The Museum of Ethnography frames its exhibitions around what it means to be human. They bring museum objects and voices from different places and times together, while personal stories and social issues take centre stage. The museum describes conversations between inside and outside, with exhibitions indoors and activities in its park. Visitors can explore the displays, join activities inside or outside, and take part in creative making. The offer is for all ages, with room for play as well as serious reflection, according to Visit Stockholm.
That mix gives visitors several ways to spend time at the museum: looking at objects and listening to voices, engaging with social issues, or joining an activity and making something. The museum’s own website invites visitors to explore the world through exhibitions, activities indoors and outdoors, and creative work. Admission is free for everyone younger than 19. The material describes the museum’s activities and exhibitions, but gives no visit-length estimate or opening times.
