Party Seeks Fresh Start Before Next Year's Election
Minister for Health Care Acko Ankarberg Johansson's (KD) resignation came unexpectedly. According to political scientist Jonas Hinnfors, it may be a matter of a dismissal intended to shift focus from the fact that the party has failed to get its policies through in several health care issues. By replacing the person, the party hopes to get a new start ahead of the election next year, he says.
