More than 100 countries and organizations will attend the peace conference in Switzerland in two weeks, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj.

However, China is trying to sabotage the meeting, he claims.

Zelenskyj says he is disappointed that several world leaders have not yet confirmed their attendance at the peace meeting on June 15-16. The more attendees, the more likely Russia will have to listen, the president said in a speech at the ongoing security conference in Singapore.

In the speech, he does not mention any countries, but neither China's nor the US presidents have confirmed their attendance.

However, Zelenskyj accuses China of trying to sabotage the Swiss meeting to reporters.

China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a press conference that Beijing believes that both warring parties should be represented equally at such a conference.

According to Zelenskyj, Ukraine is ready to listen to "diverse proposals and ideas" in Switzerland on how the war against Russia can be brought to a close.

During today's security conference, Zelenskyj also had a meeting with US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin, where they reportedly discussed Ukraine's defense capabilities.
