The deceased Russian regime critic Alexei Navalny's widow, Yulia Navalnaya, is now formally wanted in Russia. This follows a court decision on Tuesday, reports AFP.
She is accused of participating in an "extremist organization".
The 47-year-old national economist Navalnaya has emerged as a leading figure among Russian opposition members from her exile after her husband's death.
In a statement on social media, she hits back at the Russian regime.
"Vladimir Putin is a murderer and a war criminal. His place is in prison", writes Navalnaya on X shortly after the news of the warrant.
Alexei Navalny died under unclear circumstances in an Arctic penal colony in February. He was internationally known as an anti-corruption activist and one of Putin's main critics.
