The City of Gothenburg is breaking its contract with a company that operates HVB homes, since it has been revealed that one fifth of the employees can be linked to criminality.
When the municipality checked the supplier, it turned out that 20 percent of the staff could be linked to crimes such as aggravated assault, drug offenses, violence against officials, and violent rioting.
"There are serious deficiencies in a residence that is supposed to provide security and care for vulnerable children and young people. It cannot be like this and it must have consequences", says Johanna Azar, chair of the procurement and purchasing board, in a press release.
