A man in his 20s is being treated in hospital with serious injuries after an explosion in a shed or storage room belonging to a residential house in Karlskrona municipality.
We do not currently know what detonated. Technicians will travel to the site tomorrow to find out, says police spokesperson Sara Andersson.
The police were alerted at 16.45 on Monday to what initially appeared to be a fire. It later turned out that a smaller explosion was the cause of the smoke development.
There was supposed to be one person in this building, the room, in connection with the explosion. He was taken to hospital by ambulance, says Andersson.
