China's leader Xi Jinping will visit the former Soviet republics of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan during the coming week.
"President Xi Jinping will participate in the 24th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) to be held in Astana", and also make a state visit to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, the Foreign Ministry announced.
The SCO includes China, Russia, India, Pakistan, and several of the former Soviet states in Central Asia.
