China's leader Xi Jinping arrived on Tuesday in Kazakhstan's capital Astana for a state visit to the country.
He will also participate in a meeting with the cooperation organization Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held in Astana.
The SCO was founded in 2001 and includes member countries China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and soon also Belarus.
Xi Jinping will later in the week travel on to Tajikistan.
