A woman in Indonesia has been found dead in the stomach of a python.
The woman disappeared on Tuesday after going out to buy medicine for her sick child, whereupon her family began searching for her, according to the police.
The woman's husband found her sandals and trousers half a kilometer from their home and shortly after caught sight of a python with a "very large" stomach.
The snake was still alive, says a local police chief to the AFP news agency.
Together with villagers, they cut open the snake's stomach and found the dead woman's body.
This is the second time in a month that a woman has been found dead in the stomach of a python.
Although it is unusual for people to be swallowed whole by pythons, several people in Indonesia have lost their lives in this way in recent years.
