A woman has attacked other passengers with a knife on a bus in Siegen, Germany, reports Der Spiegel. Five people are injured, three of them with life-threatening injuries, according to the newspaper.
The police state that they do not suspect a terrorist crime and that the woman has been arrested. The local newspaper Siegener Zeitung writes that the woman surrendered to the police.
The bus was on its way to a city festival in the city with 102,000 inhabitants, located in North Rhine-Westphalia, about an hour's drive east of Cologne. There were approximately 40 people on board the bus.
Last week, a knife attack occurred in the city of Solingen, also in North Rhine-Westphalia, where three people were killed. The two incidents are not connected, however.
