A wolf has been shot during a protective hunt in Sörmland, reports P4 Sörmland.

The wolf was shot between Malmköping and Sparreholm and the protective hunt is thus completed, announces the county administrative board.

The protective hunt was introduced at the beginning of October after a wolf repeatedly attacked domestic animals.

The wolf had been staying in a densely populated area and is said to have killed sheep and a goat in the area. A school in Malmköping previously cancelled outdoor activities this autumn after a wolf was spotted in the vicinity.
