Four sheep have been killed by a wolf between Sparreholm and Malmköping during the night leading up to Monday, according to the Sörmland County Administrative Board, as reported by SVT Sörmland.
On Thursday, outdoor activities were cancelled at a school in Malmköping after a wolf was spotted in the vicinity. The County Administrative Board had not yet confirmed which wolf was involved.
We have a territory that lies in close proximity, so an educated guess is that it's a year-old wolf from that territory that has realized it's easier to hunt near cities than to chase hoofed game in the forest, said predator handler Markus Södling to TT at the time.
A month ago, a wolf attack occurred between Malmköping and Strängnäs. Then, a goat was killed and several other animals were injured. In the same area, eight sheep were killed in mid-July.
During the summer, domestic animals have also been attacked by wolves between Runtuna and Björnlunda. A decision was then made to conduct protective hunting in the area, reports SVT Sörmland.
