The license hunting of wolves has been cancelled in Värmland, following a decision from the county administrative board. The reason is that there are no indications that any wolves remain in the hunting area, reports Swedish Hunting. One wolf has been shot in the area out of the allocation of six animals.
This means that this year's license hunting of wolves is now concluded in four out of five territories. In Mjuggsjön in Örebro county, the hunt is still ongoing.
In total, 22 wolves have been shot out of the 30 allowed.
The hunt started on January 2 and can last until February 15 at the latest.
