Despite bag bans and rainy weather, the Gothenburg festival Way Out West has broken the audience record for the third year in a row. Over 70,000 unique visitors were present in Slottsskogen over the weekend. Last year, 55,000 people visited the festival.
"We are infinitely grateful to every person who has been involved in making us the institution in Gothenburg that we actually are", says Kimmie Winroth, project manager for Way Out West, in a press release.
Way Out West returns to Gothenburg on August 7-9, 2025, for its seventeenth edition.
