A man, who local media claim is Swedish, has been arrested on the Canary Islands, reports Expressen.

According to the Spanish police, the man has been the subject of a European arrest warrant since August last year, suspected of weapons offenses. He was arrested on southern Gran Canaria – the third largest of the total 13 islands that make up the Canary Islands – on January 15 this year. At the time of the arrest, the man was living under a false identity.

TT has sought a comment from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
