An unknown perpetrator attacked the man with a sharp object, according to the police.
The man's injuries were initially assessed as life-threatening, and the police who arrived at the scene initiated life-saving measures while waiting for an ambulance. Once at the hospital, the injuries were no longer considered life-threatening.
We have not been able to interview the victim yet, says Daniel Wikdahl, the police's press spokesperson.
The alarm came in at 21.25. It is unclear whether the perpetrator got away with any loot. No suspect has been arrested.
The police have searched the area with a dog and have cordoned off the area for technical investigation.
It seems like there was only the victim, one witness, and this perpetrator there. We need more witness statements about what happened, says Wikdahl.
