The latest seizure takes place in connection with the visit of the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the Dominican Republic.
Rubio has traveled to a military airbase where a prosecutor from the Dominican Republic and a representative from the US law enforcement agencies set up a sign on the plane that read "seized".
The authorities in the Dominican Republic seized the plane last year after American authorities stated that it had violated the US sanctions against Venezuela.
In September, the US seized a plane belonging to Venezuela's President Nicolás Maduro in the Dominican Republic. Venezuela then described the US action as pirate-like.
