Air alarms sounded in large parts of Ukraine during the night. The wave of Russian drones and missiles was directed at cities across virtually the entire country, writes The Kyiv Independent.
According to Kyiv, Russia attacked with a total of over 600 missiles and drones. In several places, fires and damage to infrastructure are reported.
In Lviv in western Ukraine, several hundred kilometers from the front lines in the east, local authorities state that at least one person has been killed by the Russian wave of attacks.
Explosions have also been heard in the Rivne region, also far to the west in Ukraine, as well as in Mukachevo near the border with Hungary and Slovakia. There, about ten people have been injured, according to the authorities.
Russian Shahed drones are also said to have attacked the Kyiv area. It is unclear how many of the drones were shot down.
