According to the management, it is about a "socially responsible" reduction of "indirect jobs". The cutbacks – corresponding to approximately 14 percent of the car manufacturer's German workforce – will not affect factory workers, according to the company.
The car manufacturer also plans to invest approximately eight billion euros, equivalent to over 88 billion kronor, in its German facilities during the same period.
