In the beginning of November, 2.3 million liters of untreated wastewater flowed directly into Lake Tiken in Småland. Now, Tingsryd Municipality has been reported to the police, reports P4 Kronoberg.

The background to the incident was a power outage, which caused one of the municipality's pumping stations to stop functioning and was out of order for several days.

The County Administrative Board, which is behind the police report, believes that the municipality has neglected the maintenance of the pumping station and also highlights that the alarm did not function either.
