Unexpectedly high inflation in the UK

Inflation is picking up speed in the UK again. In October, inflation rose to 2.3 per cent compared to 1.7 per cent in September. Above all, it is rising energy costs that are behind the increase, which was larger than the market had expected and which may now affect future interest rate decisions from the Bank of England.
