Unemployment rose slightly in November, to 8.5 percent, from 8.4 percent the previous months, according to seasonally adjusted and trend values from Statistics Sweden (SCB).
The proportion of employed persons has simultaneously decreased slightly. The so-called employment rate is now at 68.7 percent.
"The proportion of employed persons decreased in November. Seasonally adjusted and smoothed, we also see a decreased labor force participation," says Lena Johansson, statistician at the Labor Force Surveys at SCB, in a press release.
