Volvo has taken home a major order for trucks from Averitt Express, a US-based transport company.

This concerns an order for 264 so-called VNL trucks, which are specially developed for long-distance transport.

The deal is one of the largest individual orders for the new model so far in North America, writes Volvo in a press release.

Averitt has over 4,600 vehicles in its fleet and over half come from Volvo.

According to Volvo, the company's VNL trucks focus on fuel economy, operating costs and a comfortable driver environment.
