In Japan, the Nikkei 225 index had moved sideways at lunchtime, while the broader Topix index had risen by 0.4 percent.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index is also going upwards, and had after some hours of trading risen by 0.4 percent.
Shenzhen's composite index ticked upwards by 1.2 percent, while the total in Shanghai climbed 0.5.
