The UN's human rights chief Volker Türk is calling for an independent investigation after six people from the hostage group in Gaza were found dead over the weekend.
"We are horrified by reports that Palestinian armed groups have summarily executed six Israeli hostages, which would constitute a war crime", writes the UN's human rights office on X.
The post also states that Türk wants to see an independent and transparent investigation and is calling for those responsible to be held accountable.
It was on Saturday that the six people were found dead in a tunnel in southern Gaza.
