This was announced by Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj in his evening speech posted on social media.
The President has instructed Ukraine's Interior Minister and diplomats to prepare for possible Ukrainian participation in firefighting.
We already have 150 firefighters on standby.
The USA is one of Ukraine's most important allies in the war against Russia. According to Zelenskyj, the help to California has been offered "through relevant channels".
