The local government in the Donetsk region of Ukraine has on Tuesday decided to evacuate children with guardians from several of the communities located near the frontline in the war.
Russia is said to have increased its resources in the region over the past few months, and the Ukrainian governor of Donetsk, Vadym Filasjkin, has for some time been urging civilians to flee the area due to the increased Russian shelling.
Donetsk and the adjacent region of Luhansk have been partially occupied by Russia and Russian-backed separatists since 2014.
