The shooting occurred at around 21:00 outdoors near a square. There were several witnesses to the incident on site, according to the police.

The incident may have been captured on surveillance cameras.

There are cameras in the area, which we are going through, says the police's press spokesperson Ola Österling.

During the night, the police have arrested and detained one person, but do not want to disclose the gender or age of the detainee.

According to prosecutor Ingrid Viklund, the person is detained on probable cause, i.e. the higher degree of suspicion, suspected of attempted murder and serious weapons offense.

A witness who was nearby heard the shots:

I experienced that there were about six to ten shots and I saw a family with children plus other people start running away from the center, the person tells Aftonbladet.
