"It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone as special ambassadors for a prominent but very troubled place, Hollywood, California", writes Trump on his social media platform Truth Social.
The three actors will serve as special envoys to bring Hollywood – which according to Trump has "lost many businesses to foreign countries" over the past four years – back to its heyday.
"These three very talented individuals will be my eyes and ears, and I will ensure that what they propose gets done. Like the USA itself, Hollywood will once again enter its golden age!", writes Donald Trump.
It is unclear exactly what their roles will entail. All three have previously been associated with Trump and his election campaign in various ways.
