A man tried to murder his wife with a knife outside the couple's shared residence in Kalmar. The man is now being prosecuted for attempted murder, according to a press release from the Prosecution Authority.
Parts of the evidence consist of films, including two recorded by the couple's children before the incident.
"A motive for the crime is that he suspected her of infidelity and that he would preserve and restore his own and his family's honor through the act," says senior prosecutor Lise-Lotte Norström according to the press release.
The woman's injuries are not believed to have resulted in permanent damage.
