The electricians are reporting the electric car manufacturer Tesla to the police for breach of the electrical safety law, writes the trade union in a press release.

"Despite indications that Tesla is performing electrical installation work in Sweden, the company has not registered with the Electrical Safety Agency, which means that the work is illegal", writes the Electricians.

"Since Tesla is breaking Swedish law, we must react", adds the Electricians' chief negotiator Mikael Pettersson in the press release.

The strike against Tesla in Sweden concerns a dispute over collective agreements between the car manufacturer and IF Metall. It has been ongoing since the end of October 2023.

The Electricians are one of the unions that have introduced sympathy measures, with a total work stoppage at several workplaces.

Corrected: In an earlier version of the text, there was an error regarding how long the strike has lasted.
