According to information obtained by Ekot, it involves a man, a woman, and a teenager who are suspected of having organized a large part of the recent violent crimes in Denmark committed by young Swedes.
Incidents closest to Copenhagen, Malmö, and Kista, where young people have been recruited to participate in serious violent crimes, says prosecutor Anna Arnell to the radio.
The trio, who have been requested to be extradited to Sweden, were arrested in absentia by Solna District Court on Wednesday.
Murder Attempts and Extortion
One of the individuals, whose identities are shrouded in secrecy, is suspected of preparing for murder, aggravated general endangerment, aggravated weapons offenses, and multiple murder attempts in Malmö, Stockholm, and Copenhagen during the summer of 2024.
The person is alleged, according to the arrest protocol, to have induced others to commit the acts or promoted them "with advice or action" in all cases.
The suspicions also include aggravated extortion and attempted aggravated extortion. In one case, a mother was allegedly threatened with murder and pressured to pay over 50,000 kronor after her son claimed to have lost a weapon.
In the other case, a father was allegedly visited and assaulted by armed individuals who threatened to kill both him and his son if he did not pay off the debt.
In both cases, threatening messages were signed with a strawberry, a symbol for the wanted gang leader Ismail "Strawberry" Abdo.
The former Foxtrot top has, according to several Swedish and Danish media, connections to an ongoing gang conflict in Denmark that has led to Swedish "child soldiers" traveling across the sound to commit serious crimes.
30 Automatic Rifles
Another of the individuals is suspected of aggravated drug offenses, preparation for aggravated weapons smuggling, and aggravated money laundering.
The person is alleged to have had a "leading role" in the handling of kilos of cocaine and tens of kilos of cannabis and amphetamine. The smuggling preparations concern "at least 30 automatic rifles and 20 pistols" that were to be brought into Sweden.
The third person is suspected of aggravated money laundering.
The operation in Alicante was carried out through cooperation between Spain, Denmark, and Sweden, which both had personnel on site to assist the Spanish police.
Europol has also participated by tracing digital evidence and coordinating intelligence that has made it possible to identify the trio.
