This year's license hunting of wolves is now cancelled in all five territories, reports Swedish Hunting.
On Sunday afternoon, the sixth and final wolf was shot in the Mjuggsjön territory in Örebro County, and thus the hunt was also cancelled in the last area.
In total, 25 wolves have been shot out of the allocation of 30 animals. Six wolves were allowed to be shot in each hunting area, which was also done in all except Salungen in Värmland. There, the hunt was stopped prematurely after a decision from the county administrative board, as it was deemed that there were no wolves left in the hunting area. Only one wolf was shot in this territory.
