A publishing house that works in "the old familiar way" in a time when others "anxiously adapt" has been named the best poetry publisher of the year. Nirstedt/litteratur is praised for a publication that covers both young debutants and established poets.
The online magazine Örnen and Kråkan's prize, which is awarded every year to a selected poetry publisher, consists of a glass trophy designed by Sara Mannheimer and filled with dark rum.
Nirstedt/litteratur was founded in 2018 by Gunnar Nirstedt. The publishing house has, among other things, published books by Johan Jönson, Marie Lundquist, and Helena Österlund. The prize winner was announced during the opening of the poetry fair at the Tranströmer Library in Stockholm on Friday.
