Thörnqvist is rewarded for his functional furniture works, according to the motivation that he has "a refinement for materials and form combinations that he combines with a conceptual stringency that stands firmly in the artistic expression, regardless of descriptive or explanatory text".
The grant recipients are presented in an exhibition that takes place at Bonniers Konsthall between December 11 this year and January 26 next year.
