The Irish company ICDS has breached overtime rules. This is the claim made by the LO union Byggnads, which is now suing the company in the Labour Court, according to a press release.

ICDS is a subcontractor hired by Skanska in connection with the construction of Slussen in central Stockholm.

According to the union, the company has not only circumvented rules on overtime but also withheld overtime pay from employees.

"This is a company that has made a system of deceiving its employees and breaching our collective agreements. The fact that they repeatedly return as subcontractors to some of our largest companies is utterly unacceptable", says Emil Persson, Byggnads' agreement secretary, in a press release.

The union is demanding nearly four million kronor for breach of the collective agreement.

Byggnads has previously taken ICDS to the Labour Court. In 2014, it concerned the construction of the new hospital in Malmö, where the union believed that employees did not receive sufficient wages.
