Forsberg was behind Nashville's 6–5 win away against San Jose in NHL ice hockey.
The forward star scored 3–0 and 4–2 and was named the game's player.
After a slow start to the season, he is now up to 47 points (18+29) in as many matches.
Forsberg's form is also encouraging for Tre Kronor ahead of NHL's star tournament Four Nations in February, where he will be one of the team's most important players.
Nashville has now won five straight matches and still has a small chance of reaching the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.
