The Price of Timber Continues to Rise

The prices of saw timber and pulpwood increased last year, according to new figures from the Forest Agency.

Compared to 2023, the price of saw timber rose by 30 percent in 2024. For pulpwood, it's an increase of 18 percent.

The authority sees an increase in prices across the country, although it varies somewhat.

The saw timber price, for example, increased the most in Svealand, up by 34 percent compared to 2023. The lowest increase was in northern Norrland, where the price rose by 12 percent.
