Two Shetland ponies were shot to death in a pasture in Nykvarn. A hunter who was after wild boar is said to have shot the horses by mistake. The incident is classified as hunting crime and reckless endangerment, as several people were in the vicinity.
We have held an interrogation with the suspect. Then we have also held witness interrogations, says Mats Eriksson.
The man is, however, not arrested.
There is no detention in the case, says police spokesperson Mats Eriksson to TT on Sunday.
He does not want to go into what came out in the interrogations.
It is an ongoing investigation.
The hunter has told SVT News Stockholm that he was completely convinced it was wild boar.
It's bloody hell. It's a complete catastrophe, said the hunter to the channel.
