Several major players in the film industry are demanding changes to the rules for state production grants to attract more film shoots to Sweden, reports Sveriges Radio Kulturnytt. The funds available for application in the spring were exhausted in one minute and seven seconds after the application opened.
The Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, which administers the grant, suspects that film companies are using advanced technical aids to get their applications in on time.
Among the signatories are Sveriges Television, Film i väst, and the Swedish Film Renters' Association.
